5. How We Collect Data

We collect data directly from you when you register, sign in, verify OTP, use Google sign-in, complete your profile, submit onboarding details, upload documents, add bank details, go online, accept assignments, update order status, capture proof, contact support, or use Driver app features.

We collect some data automatically from your device, app permissions, location services, foreground service, secure storage, network requests, socket connections, notification services, server logs, and diagnostic systems.

We may receive limited data from service providers such as Firebase/FCM, Google services, maps or navigation providers, hosting and storage providers, SMS/OTP providers, Razorpay or payout providers, Cloudflare R2/S3-compatible storage, and Sentry diagnostics where configured.

6. Why We Use Driver Data

We use driver data to create accounts, verify phone numbers, support Google sign-in, complete onboarding, review KYC documents, verify driver eligibility, and manage account status.

We use data to show online/offline status, determine assignability, assign delivery orders, send incoming offers, coordinate pickup and delivery, verify OTPs or confirmations, track delivery progress, collect delivery proof, and resolve failed or disputed deliveries.

We use location data for nearby driver discovery, route and navigation support, active order tracking, customer/shop/admin coordination, safety checks, fraud prevention, and delivery dispute handling.

We use payment and payout data to calculate earnings, process completed-delivery payouts where enabled, manage COD handover records, reconcile transactions, and support finance operations.

We use logs, crash reports, diagnostics, and app performance data to debug issues, improve reliability, secure the platform, prevent abuse, investigate incidents, enforce terms, and comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.

7. Location Data

The Shanglen Driver app collects precise location data from drivers when location permission is granted and the driver is online, waiting for assignments, travelling for pickup, or completing an active delivery.

The current Android app includes foreground service location and background location permission support. Location may continue to be collected in the background while the driver is online/on duty or has an active delivery so Shanglen can maintain driver presence, dispatch orders, show delivery progress, and coordinate the route.

The app sends location less frequently when online and idle, and more frequently during pickup or active delivery. It may use last known location temporarily if GPS is slow, and may queue location updates briefly during network interruptions.

Driver location may be shared with customers, merchants/shops, and Shanglen admin or operations teams as needed for order tracking, pickup coordination, delivery coordination, safety, fraud prevention, and support. Location tracking should stop when the driver goes offline and has no active delivery.

Drivers can control location permissions through device settings. If location permission, GPS, or required background/foreground service access is disabled, the Driver app may prevent online status, set the driver offline, or make delivery assignment and tracking unavailable.

8. Data Sharing

Customers may receive limited driver and delivery information such as delivery tracking location, order status, delivery progress, and contact or coordination details where needed for an active order.

Merchants and shops may receive limited driver information, assignment details, pickup status, order status, and contact or coordination details needed to prepare, hand over, and resolve orders.

Shanglen admin, finance, support, and operations teams may access driver profile, KYC, location, order, delivery, payment, payout, support, and diagnostic data where needed to operate the service, verify drivers, resolve disputes, manage payouts, and enforce safety policies.

We share data with service providers that help operate the Driver app, including Firebase/FCM for push notifications, Google services, maps/navigation providers, hosting/database providers, Cloudflare R2/S3-compatible storage for uploads, analytics or crash reporting such as Sentry where configured, SMS/OTP providers, email providers, payment and payout providers such as Razorpay/RazorpayX where applicable, and fraud prevention or security providers.

We may share information with law enforcement, regulators, courts, professional advisers, or other parties where required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate fraud or misuse, or in connection with a business restructuring or transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. Data Retention

We retain driver information for as long as needed to provide Driver app services, manage active and historical orders, verify drivers, process earnings or payouts, maintain accounting and tax records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce terms, and comply with legal obligations.

KYC documents, delivery proof, order records, payment records, payout records, location history, and safety or fraud records may be retained after account closure where required for compliance, audits, disputes, fraud prevention, or legitimate business records. When no longer needed, data is deleted, anonymized, or restricted using reasonable processes.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect driver data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These may include authentication, OTP verification, access controls, secure token storage, request validation, encrypted configuration where used, monitoring, and operational controls.

No digital platform can guarantee absolute security. Drivers should protect their device, phone number, OTPs, login sessions, bank details, and documents, and should contact us promptly if they suspect unauthorized access.

11. Driver Choices and Controls

Drivers may update certain profile, vehicle, bank, and account details in the Driver app where features are available, or by contacting support.

Drivers may go online or offline through the app. Going offline may stop assignment and routine tracking, except where an active delivery or operational obligation still requires completion or support.

Drivers may manage app permissions such as location, camera, and notifications through device settings. Disabling permissions may limit onboarding, order assignment, proof capture, tracking, notifications, or delivery completion.

12. Account and Data Deletion Requests

Drivers may request account deletion or personal data deletion by emailing contact@saiyonix.in from their registered email address, or by including their registered phone number and enough details for account verification.

We will review and verify the request before processing it. Some data may be retained where needed for pending deliveries, payouts, COD handover, disputes, fraud checks, tax, accounting, regulatory compliance, legal claims, or platform safety records.

13. Children and Minors

The Shanglen Driver app is not intended for children. It is intended only for adults or legally eligible delivery partners who can perform delivery services and enter into applicable agreements under law.

We do not knowingly onboard children as drivers. If we learn that a driver account belongs to an ineligible minor, we may suspend or close the account and delete or restrict data as appropriate.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Driver Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised Last Updated date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, website, or other reasonable channels.
